Hello again! Nice to be back!
It’s been a few years since I last created a blog post about cricket. Though I followed cricket a lot back then, my knowledge wasn’t as extensive as it is now. There are still some gaps in my knowledge and in some areas gaping chasms, mostly because I don’t get to watch as much cricket as I’d like. However, after a large amount of time spent responding to Facebook posts on England Cricket, Wisden, The Hundred (more on this later!) and similar pages, I’ve decided that on rare occasions I do get a few likes and at least SOME people seem to enjoy and respond positively to what I have to say. It’s given me some newfound confidence and made me believe a little more in my writing abilities and knowledge of the subject.
Although I enjoy interacting with other cricket fans and blogging may not be the best forum for that, I thought it would be nice to re-start my blog and really try and stick at it this time. I’d like to improve my writing abilities still further, and what better way than to write about something you’re passionate about, with the added bonus that a blog tends to start fewer arguments.
It may take a while and a lot of hard work but it would be great to get to the point where I’m a semi-proficient writer with at least a handful of followers. I’m not aiming big here!
Anyway, that’s the little (re-)introduction out of the way. Please be entertained! J
